Description

From the 2004 “Master Of The Moon” North American tour, the Philadelphia performance on October 4th was recorded for 1 hour and 33 minutes in a high-quality audience recording comparable to a line recording. After the European tour and South American tour that started in Russia in the same year, the band’s combination was also at its best from the US tour, and what is surprising is the direct high-quality sound, and the clear sound with good sound reproduction reproduces the high-quality performance of this period with an ideal balance. The “Master Of The Moon” tour was also held in Japan in May of the following year, and was well received by fans for its high-quality performance and set. From the opening, a new song One More For The Road, the second song was Sabbath’s Sign Of The Southern Cross, and songs that were not performed on the Japanese tour were played. And the third song was Stargazer in full. In the drum solo that was performed following Stand Up And Shout, the William Tell Overture was used in the second half of Japan, but the US tour featured the familiar “1812 Overture” by Cozy. After Don’t Talk To Strangers, they played The Eyes and Killing The Dragon, which was the opening number in Japan. Man On The Silver Mountain was also played at the original speed, with a nearly 6-minute guitar solo and Long Live Rock ‘N’ Roll inserted in the middle. Rock’n’Roll Children in the second half was a number that was not played in Japan, and it was a rare selection from the third album, and considering that the guitar was Craig, it was kind of moving. Then Dio called out the title, “This is a song from the Long Live Rock ‘n’ Roll album that you have never heard live. Gates Of Babylon!” The riff started with a Middle Eastern phrase synth, and the part where Ronnie sang the melody loudly with his best voice was truly impressive. And Holy Diver had a dramatic synth intro that reminded me of Magnum. Then, Heaven And Hell was played as a medley, and the main set of this wonderful live show was closed. The encore ended with Last In Line, an arrangement that was also faithful to the original. This is a must-listen for fans, as it is a perfect set that covers Dio’s golden history, packed with perfect sound! Disc 1/ 1. Intro. 2. One More For The Road 3. Sign Of The Southern Cross 4.
