Description

The Joe Lynn Turner era was abandoned by the official archive. The highest peak of the stereo soundboard has been upgraded. It has been decided to preserve it permanently. This work contains the “April 20, 1991 Tower Theater performance (known worldwide as a “famous venue in Philadelphia”, but the exact location is on the Upper Darby side adjacent to the city border)”. It is a superb soundboard recording. Even with a long history, the Joe era was unfortunate. Speaking of DEEP PURPLE, they are a band with an advanced official archive, and not only new excavations but also bootleg staples have been made quite official. However, among them, “SLAVES AND MASTERS WORLD TOUR 1991” is an exception among exceptions. It is ignored as if it denies its existence itself, and there is no sign of an archive. If there is no material itself, it can’t be helped, but that is not the case. There are many superb professional shots and soundboards left. Our shop has archived many of these masterpieces. First of all, let’s organize the collection. ●Pro shots・February 4th: Ostrava “WICKED NIGHT”・February 5th: Budapest “MASTER OF HUNGARY”・February 6th: Zagreb “MASTER OF HUNGARY”●Soundboard・March 15th: London “SLAVES AND MASTER TAPES”・April 20th: Philadelphia ←【This work】・August 20th: Sao Paulo “SLAVES AND MASTER TAPES”・August 21st: Sao Paulo “SLAVES AND MASTER TAPES”・September 28th: Tel Aviv “ISRAEL FIRE”A total of 8 performances. In particular, the soundboards are of the highest quality, and CDs such as “SLAVES AND MASTER TAPES” and “ISRAEL FIRE” have been very popular. The only one that was not permanently preserved was the Philadelphia performance. In other words, this work is the last piece to complete the soundboard collection of “SLAVES AND MASTERS TOUR”. [The highest peak sound board of the SLAVES AND MASTERS era] The last one was of a certain quality, so I thought it was the opposite. In fact, this sound board has long been known for its ultra-high sound quality, and “BURNING PURPLE” and other titles have become a staple. What is particularly overwhelming is the mix that gives a sense of elegance. In fact, “SLAVES AND MASTER TAPES” is a sound board with a South American outflow feeling, and “ISRAEL FIRE” also had a strong Israeli broadcasting sound. In contrast, this work recorded in the United States is beautifully arranged, and you can feel a “sense of work” that is on a different level from the sound board. Moreover, this work is the highest peak. Although the existing group has a high basic standard, the master freshness is difficult, it is noisy, and the pitch is significantly out of sync. Even if you can be convinced to a certain extent, there was no board that “exploded”. On the other hand, this work has no such drawbacks. The beginning of “Burn” (only a few bars of the intro riff) is missing, just like the previous group, but the accurate pitch and the lustrous sound are ironclad. The highest peak up to this point was “THE TOWER OF BABEL”, but this work is even more amazing. If you listen and compare, the difference is clear. The freshness of each sound is completely different, and its vivid outline makes you feel even the “gap”, and draws the ensemble three-dimensionally. Although it is actually “official class” in one bite, it is actually a “classic” sound, not “excavation class” even by official standards. It is exactly the pinnacle of “SLAVES AND MASTERS TOUR” and the most suitable one to “substitute for the official live album”. [A passionate live album that transcends collection value] And the show drawn with its apex quality is also wonderful. In Eastern Europe at the beginning of the tour, Joe’s strange playfulness was a bit off (it became famous as a pro shot), but here there were no problems as he had performed nearly 40 times. He responded freely to the flexible show that was different from RAINBOW, and the improvised fake phrases were perfect for the mood. And above all, the heat. American Joe is full of energy for the show in his home country. He is full of confidence and motivation to return as the “singer of DEEP PURPLE”. In fact, Richie and John don’t seem to be going wild with their free improvisation, but that doesn’t mean they’re not motivated. The riffs and phrases are sharp, and the ensemble is very tight. The heavy “Perfect Strangers” and “Knockin’ At Your Back Door” are also good, but I especially want you to listen to “The Cut Runs Deep”. The intro explodes like an explosion, and John’s glittering phrases dance in the air. And Joe’s rock-man vocalization, roaring with a tight, galloping beat. How cool… Although Joe’s image was not good due to his subsequent remarks, he was definitely shining at the scene, with all his power poured into it. You can enjoy it to the fullest with the superb sound board. The last piece of the collection, the best superb stereo sound board for the “SLAVES AND MASTERS TOUR”. It’s the best of the best. It’s an absolute must-have collection, but it’s also a masterpiece of a live album that makes you realize once again the flavor of the Joe era, which is often overlooked. A page of DEEP PURPLE history that the official continues to overlook. Live at Tower Theater, Upper Darby Township, PA, USA 20th April 1991 STEREO SBD(UPGRADE) Disc 1 (48:31) 1. Burn 2.
