Description

Following the great reception of “LOUDPARK 16”, THE DEAD DAISIES will finally come to Japan alone. By the time this nonsense is published, an in-store event will be held at a certain place in Tokyo prior to the first day’s performance. I’m looking forward to the recording of such a live in Japan, but while waiting for it, the latest superb video is here. This work contains live footage of the latest “LIVE & LOUDER WORLD TOUR 2017”. It is a two-disc set with a professional shot of “ROCK HARD FESTIVAL on June 2, 2017” on disc 1 and a superb audience shot of “Copenhagen performance on June 8” on disc 2. First of all, let’s take a bird’s-eye view of the position on the tour date, including the distance from the Japanese performance that is about to start.・June 2nd-July 1st: Europe (23 performances) ←★Here★・July 5th + 6th: Japan (2 performances)・July 12th-21st: Central and South America (6 performances)・August 3rd: Poland performance・August 9th-September 2nd: North America (15 performances) This is the overall picture of “LIVE & LOUDER WORLD TOUR 2017” that has been announced so far. Both performances in this work are “European legs” that decorate the beginning of the tour. Disc 1 is the first day, and Disc 2 is the sixth performance. Now, let’s take a closer look at each video. [Disc 1: ROCK HARD FESTIVAL Pro Shot] First of all, it is a superb pro shot of “ROCK HARD FESTIVAL”, which was the first day of the world tour. This show was recorded and broadcast on the traditional program “ROCKPALAST”, and this work is a DVD of the superb digital master. The quality is perfect official class. For some reason, the video is processed with a round peephole like an old hidden recording, but the image beauty is perfect. It’s not just super beautiful digital image quality, but the camera work is incredibly dynamic. When you get a close-up, you can see not only the members’ expressions but also one of the vibrating cymbals, and the angle of the shot from below is so bold that you wonder, “Is the camera tied to a shoe!?” And it moves, moves, and moves with ferocious momentum! It zooms in and out to move dynamically with each beat of the beat, then spins around with a close-up of the guitar hand, licking the venue at super speed. It’s perfectly synchronized with tough rock and roll, and it’s ferociously wild. The whole live performance is as elaborate as a carefully crafted PV, yet it’s rough as hell. There are many super beautiful latest broadcasts, but I don’t remember seeing such dynamic, bold, and active rock footage. The live performance depicted with that quality is also perfect. In a word, the video version of the official edition “LIVE AND LOUDER”. It’s about five songs shorter than that official live album, but the performance and show composition are almost the same. Imagine that hot live album was filmed with a ferociously active multi-camera. And a high-quality one with a lot of power. Yes, the scene that just came to your mind is a disc that lasts about an hour. [Disc 2: Copenhagen performance audience shot] Following the fierce multi-camera professional shot is a one-camera audience shot about a week later. As it is coupled with a professional shot that is not just a person, this is also a shocking video that is not half-baked. What is shocking is the quality. In terms of specifications, it is “an audience shot taken with one camera from the left side of the back of the venue”, but it is completely different from what you would imagine from such a word. Rather, it is closer to saying “one-camera professional shot”. In fact, it is not just high quality, but the beauty of the image, which even exudes elegance, is as beautiful as a movie. Moreover, there is no obstruction at the angle that passes far above the audience’s heads and looks directly at the stage. The camera work is also abnormally stable despite actively following the members. There is no way that the audience camera can be this high quality anymore. I thought it was a camera set up at the venue, but even so, the shot that is too spectacular may really be a distant angle of a professional shot. Furthermore, the sound is also amazing. If you listen carefully with headphones, you can feel the liveliness of the venue’s sound, but at a glance, it’s almost a stereo sound board. It seems to be only the best one. The image will be conveyed more accurately if you imagine the “best one-camera professional shot” in total, including the video, camera work, and sound. The raw rock and roll depicted with that quality is also hot all the way. It’s about a week since the professional shot of disc 1, so the contents are very similar, but the long full show of five more songs “Song And A Prayer”, “Rockin’ In The Free World”, “We All Fall Down”, “Lock ‘n’ Load”, and “All The Same” is wonderful. This is also the video version of the official edition “LIVE AND LOUDER”, a scorching hot stage worthy of being called the 100% version of the original. Even in today’s world where technology has made remarkable progress, it is a rare sight… no, it is a superb professional shot and audience shot that I have never seen before. The main character is THE DEAD DAISIES above all, but even if you are not interested in the band, it is a superb product that will surely amaze you with the beauty of the video alone and make you doubt your ears. It is a masterpiece video that can anticipate the Japanese performance that is about to begin, and is also one of the cutting edge of “rock records”. This is the technology of 2017 and the rock of 2017. It is an outstanding two-disc set where the two cutting edges intersect.
